Technical Principle of High-purity Nickel Strip Foil

According to nickel's phase variation law, stepwise reduction method is used to reduce the contents of noisome impurities of sulfur and phosphorus in the nickel, and slagging practice and vacuum electronic for refining purification in the solid phase section to achieve vacuum degree of -3 torr.

Vacuum melting has the following strong points:
•    The gas in the liquid metal can be discharged quickly to form low air content in the fusant.
•    The oxidizing loss of alloying element will be cut down in large amount and the oxidation slag inclusion in the fusant will be cut off sharply.
•    The fusant doesn't need covering flux and flux addition, not vulnerable to contamination.
•    Improve the performance of metal alloy with an increase of 80% for impact ductility, 30% respectively for long-time strength and extensibility, and 50% for reduction of cross section area.

  Analyze 16 impurity elements, the purity can reach 99.986%; analyze 11 impurity elements, the purity can reach 99.99%, and the total amount of other elements is equal to or less than 0.01%, nickel purity is increased distinctly in comparison with other advanced nickel processing countries. Stepwise reduction and slagging technologies are firstly introduced at home with the content of sulfur and phosphorus under 10ppm, and resistivity ρ≤0.068 Ω•mm2/M, which guarantees the achievement of stable and uniform resistivity and well meets the production requirements. The processing adopts hot cogging and cold rolling, which not only reduces contamination but also saves energy source. Medium roll and finishing mill both adopt imported multi-roll machine for rolling press with the minimum thickness of 0.02 mm and tolerance control ±0.001mm, uniform in material hardness, the specification state includes M, 1/4Y, 1/2Y, 3/4Y, Y, narrow strip processing adopts Germany imported equipment to cut strips. The section is regular rectangle. This process is precise and of high technical requirements and its product quality is excellent with minimum width of 1mm.
